I gave the front garden a good deep soaking of the sort that should be redundant at this time of year. A large magpie was about a metre and a half behind me the whole time, poking around, snapping at insects, and then drinking deeply from a small puddle before having a brief warble. So that's how dry it is here in #Adelaide at the moment.
