#Journal of a slightly bummed Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼♀️ (Wednesday, 18/12/2024).
TL;DR a not too bad day, to be fair, just a bit annoyed with the constant pain in my leg. It's only been three years since the surgery, so I hoped for more pain free years... 😔
The alarm woke me. I wasn't in the mood for the scale, so I just got dressed. Took my meds, cared for Arwen, and got ready to head to the gym.
Enjoyed my protein shake and caught up with the notifications. I rode the seated bike for a while, and then finished up with a massage in the chair. And then, back home again.
A quick clean of Arwen's wound. I could feel some thickness but I could not get any puss to come out. So I'd try again after walkies. Washed up, changed clothes, and had brekky. Arwen was eager to go on walkies, so we had a good time with them. There was some rain, but it wasn't too bad and it didn't last too long, fortunately.
I tried to write a new blog post but it was a bit hard to get to the point, haha, as there was so much that popped up in my head.
We got back and I worked on my blog a bit. Then I fixed some food. I walked 5k on the treadmill after that, even though my muscles were protesting a bit. Arwen wanted a walk after that...
I went upstairs again to take down the washings, as they were dry now. My bestie called me as I was busy folding. We had a very nice chat and I cleaned up the rest of the stuffs. I got to the couch for a bit, but felt I needed a painkiller to get through the rest of the day. It had been 9 hours since the first one, and I'd done quite a bit, so I guess it was slowly wearing off...
Took the meds and wanted to relax some before hoovering the downstairs area. But as soon as I sat down... Arwen told me she needed to go out. Ugh... I do love her but my back was killing me and I just wanted the meds to kick in first. But nope, we *had* to go....
So of course Arwen only did a little wee and she was more interested in checking if she could spot N&B anywhere! 😂 So much for me relaxing a bit. So when the meds had kicked in, I hoovered the downstairs area. Where does all that sand come from? 😂
Then, another small walk. I watched some telly after that, till a good friend told me they'd be getting online. So I did the same, and we muddled through the Adrift expedition. We were joined by another sweet friend and I had a very good time with them! 😁
I got ready for walkies and bed after that. N texted early, which Arwen didn't mind, so we quickly headed out for walkies. It was rather windy but it was dry so we had a nice walk. I got to bed after that, and it didn't take too long to fall asleep.
I did have a restless night, as I woke several times for the loo. Then it was about 25 minutes till the alarm, so I just got up and started my new day...
