I just can't stop thinking about how boring rich people are. I like having money, getting cool stuff, traveling, but mostly it would be nice not to have to stress about making it, but if you manage to achieve that, why would you possibly want more than that? Like you can do basically anything, and your plan is to make more money?! That is just baffling! And then you want people to like you for that?! When you could legitimately spend every single day making people's lives better, and it wouldn't even make you not rich, but you just don't, and you wonder why people don't like you.

I'm sorry, I'm on a rant tonight, but seriously, some people would rather buy a President than just do one thing that would make them likable and interesting.
just depends on your definition of "rich"

What you described. Being comfortable, taking a vacation and traveling, not stressing... that sounds more like an ideal working class. Not rich 🤔

Everyone is entitled to that tbh
Making money for the sake of making money, is not living. Amassing billions? Nobody is entitled to that, in my opinion. @RickiTarr
I have been thinking about this but from a different perspective. I truly love to give. Even as a child. I could never be a billionaire because I don't think it is possible without screwing people over.

Different but similar topic: I also heard, and am not sure it is correct, but that Texas limits child support to $3900 a month regardless of income and this contributed to Musk being there.

How could a billionaire not want his kids to have everything?

How does one find pleasure in taking?
Just think Scrooge. The more they have, the more fearful they get about losing it. It's not healthy. @Adventurer
Exactly. The whole point of money is to spend it. If you don’t have much, it all gets used up on bills, housing, and food with a little left for other essentials like clothes. If you have a bit more, you eat nicer food and worry less about unexpected bills, and might even go on holiday. If you have more than the money you need, what do you do with it? If you use it to help others, it makes sense. And if government takes it as tax, they use it to help others.
While I live and love to spend...
Compound interest on #investing is a way to make money work for the investor over time.

Investing money for the future is journey of pain if you have nothing to invest. My only suggestion to remedy this is start small and research the markets you want to invest.
