*A disgruntled, overworked proletarian / professional class
*Underfunding of services, wealth transfer upward, lack of upward mobility
*Rising tides of misogyny
*A more mobilized, class conscious public
Whether or not the US is worse is beside the fact. According to a survey in 2019, among young South Koreans, 89.3% of women and 81.7% of men agreed with the statement that "people born into poverty can never compete with [those] born into wealth".
