I am trying to figure out Pixelfed. It isn’t easy. I’m on pixtagram.social, but it says my post is unlisted and the official iOS app crashes when I try to do things. I’d like to get away from Instagram if I can, but this isn’t being a smooth transition. Suggestions?

So, when I search "PhilRedbeard" on pixelfed.social your @PhilRedbeard account is found and populates with dozens of images. Far more than you have so far on pixtagram.social.

I can't answer this, but do you need the pixtagram.social account? Are you already there IN pixelfed?

It is a little confusing. @FediTips can you help us understand?

The Philredbeard account you are viewing on Pixelfed is the Mastodon account that PhilRedbeard is using in this thread, the one on mindly.social.

When you view a Mastodon account within Pixelfed, it shows all images that have ever been posted by that Mastodon account, but ignores text-only posts.

You don't have to use Pixelfed for your posts to show up on Pixelfed. Mastodon posts are already visible on Pixelfed if they have an attached image or video clip.
