International train travel sadness 😢

Was originally very excited about Leipzig -> Cluj Napoca and first night train!

But double delay in Germany leaves me stranded in Prague...
- Czech infodesk say I can't travel next day with bought ticket
- Hungarian hotline says I might be able to use ticket from Budapest, but that I can only find out once I get there
- Deutsche Bahn unreachable: unsure if hotel I booked, or other tickets I'll need will get refunded

This stuff needs to get smoother. Normally trains do work out, but right now I'm totally lost. Stuff like this will keep people flying.

Where/how can pressure be applied?

it really sucks. We clearly need more guarantees. In my experience it used to work okay with #RailTeam as long as you had booked the connecting trains from the same seller, but recently I've had more and more disappointments similar to yours. #Privatization really does not help there, when the alternative connections use trains from another provider which refuses to cooperate…

oh my goodness!

After untold fretting, sifting through various bits of information and being categorically told by two people at the infodesk I would need to buy a new ticket, I decided to just get on the train... Conductor didn't even ask, stamped the ticket... Unreal
