Protesters! Keep posting everything to social media. Over and over. Everyone, on every platform should be boosting it to help. Hopefully media from other countries will pick it up and we'll hear about it.

Indeed. It's not only the news. In the Fediverse I see more coverage of the protests in Serbia than of any protests in the US.

oh it totally is. Bluesky is the most popular with lefties in this country. Mastodon is pretty far down the list. I've seen more about protests in the USA here than anywhere else though.
