A colour photograph of the 42ns Street entrance to Grandd Central Station, taken from the concourse. At the top of the picture is the ceiling, painted blue, which features drawing of the constellations. Below this is a grand arch, decorated with plaster bosses and containing three large arched windows, several storeys high. Beneath the windows is a smaller archway which is the entrance to the station. There are many people milling around. From the entrance is a stairway down to the concourse, on either side of which is a balustrade.
A colour photograph of the main concourse of Grand Central Station. The top half of the picture features the ceiling, painted dark blue which features drawings of the constellations. Below that are three arched windows. Between and beneath the windows are two pillars of white stone with three openings between them from which hang large spherical chandeliers, each comprising many lights. In the central opening hangs an American flag, stretched between the two pillars. Below the flag is a large clock, on each side of which are train indicatorsd.
