Met this wee character near the Guadalest reservoir in the Spanish province of Alicante yesterday (3/4/25).

Red squirrel perched in a tree eating seeds out of a pine cone. Russet red all over except for its white belly it has deep black eyes and sharp claws. His / her tail is curved along its back towards his head making him look like a punk with a "Mohican".
