Archbishop of Canterbury of resigns - BBC News
"Resigned" - not fired?
Shocking that it's not gross misconduct.
Shocking what people will and won't riot over, I guess people only need certain excuses to loot the local TK Maxx. :/

It is an interesting question as to whether an Anglican archbishop can actually be fired. It's a direct appointment by the Crown. Direct action by KC3 might have caused an uproar about the King interfering in politics, even though the Crown is legally supposed to be the fount of justice. Some people would get far more upset about a monarchy being a monarchy than about Mary Whitehouse's lawyer caning teenagers.

The Church ain't supposed to be politics?
😂
Apparently...

It's nice they'll interject their stance on this even though I was born a non-believer and continue to be so. I'm disgusted by Streeting's stance on this.
Curious the church have little to say on coercing people onto Ozempic. How long before I'm subject to eugenics experiments to get me back into work? Guess CoE will be silent on that too.
You've been listening to those pesky French political philosophers and United Statists, again. No separation of church and state in *this* monarchy. All of that 18th century revolution is for colonials and continentals, old boy! (-: Archbishop of Canterbury is a Lord Spiritual, and ex officio a politician with a seat in our legislature.

- Yeah - but it's bollocks isn't it.
26 places in The House of Lords who have absolutely no reason to be there.
Course the rest🤔
Is silence.
no reason? Try a highly subsidised bar 🤣
Love to🥴
I'll front for the first round, or are we doing it MAGA style, smashing the place up and taking a dump on the bar?
