People now flee from areas of Halep/Halab/Aleppo held by bloody dictator al-Assad's regime as those are being conquered by imperialist invader Erdoğan's auxiliaries with rebranded "former" regional al-Qaeda,
to instead get to the security of the neighborhoods Şêxmaqsud and Eşrefiye of the same city which are secured by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of the autonomous North and East Syria (initially named "Rojava"):
Meanwhile, Erdoğan's "jihadist" forces has released these people from al-Assad's prison in Aleppo:
The residents of the neighborhoods Şêx Maqsud and Eşrefiye which are of the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava") inside Halep/Halab/Aleppo self-organize to defend against the probable attack by Erdoğan's "jihadist" auxiliaries (out of which many still wear ISIL/Daesh-patches alongside Turkey's flag-patches after being having been in ISIL before joining Turkey's auxiliaries when ISIL was territorially defeated) and rebranded regional al-Qaeda, now conquering al-Addad's areas first.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF, the alliance of autonomous North and East Syria, which includes YPJ and YPG) has also said they are prepared to defend if they are attacked, while since Şêx Maqsud and Eşrefiye are exclaves in Aleppo, that may be difficult.

Statement from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) just now on the... "jihadist" conquest situation at Aleppo:
─────
The plan of the attack on northwestern Syria has been devised by the Turkish occupation which intends to execute its schemes with the collaboration of the Al-Nusra Front. This attack is managed step by step by Turkey and to fully comprehend this process, it is crucial to see Turkey's role.
The developments in northwestern Syria are sensitive, and we directly care about them and closely monitor them. Whatever happens, our national and moral priority remains the defense of our people and our regions. Therefore, we will intervene as necessary to defend our people.
─────
'Turkey Expresses Concern Over Northwest Syria Amid Gains by Turkish-Backed Factions
[...]
In a statement, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oncu Keçili said, “We are closely monitoring the recent developments in northwest Syria, as they directly concern Syria’s unity and territorial integrity.”
[...]
“Ensuring stability in Idlib and adjacent areas at the zero point of our border remains a critical issue for Turkey,” he said.
[...]
As HTS and Turkish-backed factions consolidate their gains, Turkey’s statements of concern will likely be scrutinized for their apparent contradictions. The situation remains precarious, with the potential for further escalation in the coming days.'
https://npasyria.com/en/118806/
Noooo shit.
Issuing a "we're concerned"-style statement regarding YOUR OWN "jihadist" forces going on a conquest in a city with about 2 million residents is... exceptionally nuts.
Turkey bombed Kurd-majority Til Rifat/Tell Rifaat, ~30km north of Aleppo:
Reinforcements have reached the exclave Şêx Maqsud in Aleppo, which is a part of the autonomous North and East Syria (a.k.a. "Rojava") to defend the locals,
while rebranded "former" al-Qaeda and imperialist invader Turkey's auxiliary "jihadist" forces known to contain many "former" ISIL/Daesh still wearing its insignia, keep conquering parts of Aleppo from crimes against humanity dictator al-Assad's regime:
Turkey's auxiliary "jihadist" forces and rebranded "former" regional al-Qaeda are advancing at Şêx Maqsud and Eşrefiye Aleppo-exclaves of the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava"):
Reportedly center of Aleppo is in the hands of the "jihadist" auxiliaries of Turkey and rebranded regional al-Qaeda now:
The People's Defense/Protection Units (YPG) convoy announcing to the residents of the Aleppo-exclave Şêx Maqsud that the feminist, antifacist forces have arrived to protect the people against Turkey's advancing "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded regional al-Qaeda:
Hmm, wonder if it may actually be true, that the longtime auxiliaries of Turkey's imperialist invasion have just been delaying until now a planned full mutiny over the racist rioting against Syrians in Turkey https://todon.eu/deck/@b9AcE/112715919928687706 in July then leading to a smaller mutiny among Turkey's auxiliaries and one of those groups being declared "dissolved" https://todon.eu/@b9AcE/113157827142369253 by Turkey in September?
Maybe the Turkey's SNA has now decided to go back to being independent (while still full of "former" ISIL/Daesh) or, more likely then, declarre themselves to be under the rebranded regional al-Qaeda now?

I don't know. Thought just struck me... not impossible.
Half of Aleppo is now under control of Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and the rebranded "former" regional al-Qaeda, reports Public Service radio of Sweden,
and that the airport has been shut down as well as all major roads to the city of about 2 million residents.
Just released by the People's Defense/Protection Units (YPG), with their caption:
"Kurdish civilians in Sheikh Maqsoud, #Aleppo, are preparing to defend their neighborhood in the event of an attack."
Reportedly the reaction of Ahrar al-Sham and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham at finding a Palestinian flag in Aleppo.
A second convoy of YPG reinforcements was reported about 3 hours ago heading for Şêx Maqsud exclave of Aleppo:
The revolutionary resistance of Şêx Maqsud exclave of Aleppo a couple of hours ago, seems to have very solid morale. ;-)
Russia's airforce (supporting crimes against humanity dictator al-Assad) bombed imperialist invader war criminal Erdoğan's "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded regional al-Qaeda at Aleppo.

The say "two wrongs don't make one right", but I don't know, in this case, they can keep wronging each other until things are more right in the world, as long as they leave everyone else out of it.

Seems Erdoğan is in trouble with best friend Putin and former (pre-war) best friend al-Assad, which would mean the attempts to "normalize" relations between the war criminal dictators of Turkey and Syria may have now ended..?

Reportedly the Aleppo International Airport, which was closed due to Aleppo being under ongoing conquest by "jihadists" and al-Assad's military in response to that leaving the city,

Sure. :-D

Or maybe you're perturbed that Turkey's Sunni "jihadist" forces and pals took your imperialist power projection consulate in Aleppo (3-4 hours ago, but I saw no reason to mention it until now)?

The Syrian Democratic Forces alliance (SDF, which includes YPG, YPJ, etc) forces for Aleppo International Airport after al-Assad's forces left:
Oh and by the way, the conglomerate of Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded "former" regional al-Qaeda are definitely committing very serious war crimes in Aleppo.
I won't describe what I've seen, but... textbook definition systematic war crimes.
Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and the rebranded regional al-Qaeda call the taking of Aleppo operation "Dawn of Freedom".

They must have meant dusk. Or down.

That YPG controls this airport seems like it may become extremely important to many, if things continue the direction they have been in the vicinity.

https://hawarnews.com/en/scope-of-turkish-occupation-bombing-expanded

May be related to the "jihadist" conquest of Aleppo, e.g. hoping to draw SDF's attention away from the people of Aleppo (but I don't think it would).
Russia's warplanes are bombing Aleppo now.
I saw a different video showing that at least one massacre has occurred, of what seemed to be "jihadist" fighters.

A view of Aleppo this evening showing smoke rising from the airstrikes.
I've only heard of Russia doing airstrikes there now, so presumably all theirs.

I have seen several mass-fatalities out of which some appear to have been civilians, but most appeared to be groups of Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries or the rebranded regional al-Qaeda.
At least two of that grouping also appear to have tried to attack Şêx Maqsud but were seemingly fatally shot during combat by defenders which seemed to be YPG together with local residents.
The forces of al-Assad's regime are withdrawing also from Hama now and "very likely in the next few hours the city Hama will be under the control of Tahrir al-Sham [rebranded regional al-Qaeda] which is affiliated with Turkey's government", according to Aryen TV.

The SDF (YPG, YPJ, etc) reportedly decided to leave Aleppo's airport because they needed to prioritize protecting the many civilians in the neighborhoods defended by them, both previous residents and newcomers.
And now there's an article too on that:
"Turkish-Backed Factions Reach Hama’s Outskirts in Central Syria"
https://npasyria.com/en/118858/
The "jihadist" gangs after having entered Hama, since al-Assad's military abandoned the residents of that city too.
"Rebels led by the Islamist militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham drive a military vehicle in al-Rashideen, Aleppo province, Syria November 29, 2024.
Mahmoud Hasano/Reuters

Uhh, "a military vehicle"..?
Well, I suppose a main battle tank is "a military vehicle", but so can a moped be.
Maybe just a tiny tad more specific could have been better..?

Now in the center of the city Hama (population ≈1 million):
"jihadists" with tanks.
Intense shooting in Damascus for unknown reasons,
but it does strengthen the possibility of a rumor I heard ½hour ago, that there was a coup-attempt against al-Assad, but that is still just very much a rumor, whilst the shooting is real.
"Syrian government reinforces positions in Southern Syria’s Daraa amid fears of unrest"
https://npasyria.com/en/118864/

At this point it would actually be good if crimes against humanity dictator al-Assad's forces fought back a bit against the "jihadists" somewhere, so there isn't a situation where everything is then turned on the SDF to crush the Women's Revolution.
Refugees of Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries conquering Aleppo with rebranded regional al-Qaeda have arrived at Qamişlo in the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava").

Apparently Russia's troops fled at Khan Shaykhun (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khan_Shaykhun).
This about the same time as a rumor that the commander of Russia's forces in Syria had been fired (unconfirmed!), so that rumor could lead to desertion I suppose.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), rebranded regional al-Qaeda and Turkey-backed factions claimed today that officers from the Assad-government of Syria's forces are in contact with them to coordinate control over various regions in the country, "to negotiate the transfer of control over strategic areas. While these claims remain unverified, they hint at potential cracks within the Syrian regime as it faces renewed pressure from opposition advances."
https://npasyria.com/en/118867/
"Local fighters in Daraa give Syrian forces 48 hours to withdraw"
https://npasyria.com/en/118873/
48 hours? Recall how much has happened in this context within the recent past 48 hours...
That deadline may be cut short by the rebranded al-Qaeda and Turkey-backed pals arriving, unless they start attacking SDF and refuse backing off, like the morons in ISIL/Daesh did with Kobane until they had lost so much that they... lost, everything.

When you say "completely closed"... you don't mean closed to the people fleeing from the "jihadist" gangs, do you?
Do you?
You do, don't you.

Fighting continues between the dickheads of retreating military of crimes against humanity dictator al-Assad running away whilst Turkey's systematic war crimes "jihadist" auxiliaries with rebranded "former" regional al-Qaeda (HTS) keep advancing while also being hit by many airstrikes.
Here's reportedly HTS at Hama this morning:
In more positive news, because the forces of Turkey's imperialist war of aggression have now stretched themselves thinly due to their advances because al-Assad's forces keep running away,
that has now enabled the locals in the Afrin Liberation Forces to launch an assault trying to liberate their homes in and around Afrin from the occupation by Turkey and its "jihadist" auxiliaries back to being part of the autonomous North and East Syria (a.k.a. "Rojava"), with heavy fighting this morning:

Reportedly in the operations room of Idlib for the rebranded regional al-Qaeda's current assault, they have a flag of the fascist global terror-organization "Grey Wolves", which is of the party MHP in Turkey backing Erdoğan's dictatorship project.
Their main ideology is pan-Turkism to conquer and ethnically cleanse all areas where Turkic peoples migrated through to get from north of current China to current Turkey, while in addition to pan-Turkism also wanting to reconquer all of the former Ottoman Empire (Greece, Balkans, MENA).
Their terror-attacks on every inhabited continent included most widely known the attack against a Pope which became the reason why Popes since then use the "Popemobile" to stand in bullet-protecting glass.

That picture has also been posted by "nationalist" accounts in Turkey and much celebrated by those aggressive racism groups.

What is happening in NW Syria? Operation "Dawn of Freedom" and the SNA / Turkish mercenaries

In the past few days media from Europe have recalled on images of the beginning of the Syrian revolution / civil war in comparison to now, simply calling the current events 'clashes between rebels or freedom fighters and the Syrian regime'.
Yesterday we provided some information on HTS, today we will share some information on the SNA and Syrian Free Army because SNA (Syrian National Army or Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army) militias have been fighting alongside and in accordance with the HTS offensive in Idlib and Aleppo and SNA yesterday officially announced the operation "Dawn of Freedom".
─────

From @YPJ_Info (elsewhere), part 2 of 2:
─────
Who is SNA?
The Syrian Free Army, the initial main oppositional military force at the outstart of the Syrian revolution has not existed under a central command since 2015 and slowly lost power. Turkey took the lead, reassembled forces under the name Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (TFSA) later calling itself Syrian National Army, carrying the same flag as the SFA. The SNA in its current form was founded in 2017 largely out of Turkmen factions and has grown into a conglomerate of over 30 militias, including former FSA-militias. The SNA claims to be the main opposition to the Assad regime, also having set up a political arm, the “Syrian Interim Government’.

SNA forces have been acting largely as a proxy force for Turkish interests, expansionism and its fight against the Kurdish Freedom Movement. The SNA has joined Turkish military operations in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 (see image above) occupying Afrin, areas in the Afrin-Sexba canton, Gire Spi and Serekaniye. The SNA is mostly funded, trained and equipped by Turkey. HTS and SNA are officially operating militarily together since 2019.

Well, they're not just "Kurdish" and that is important, foundational even.
Video shared via PJAK to say that despite disinformation rumors, things are fine in Şêx Maqsud, despite Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded regional al-Qaeda having conquered most of the rest Aleppo.
New "Statement on Recent Developments in Syria", from the Syrian Democratic Forces alliance (which includes YPG, YPJ, Army of Revolutionaries, MFS and many others), on that

"This week has witnessed a large-scale attack and substantial shifts have happened. Damascus government forces have deteriorated in Aleppo and other regions. It is no doubt that this attack is orchestrated by the Turkish occupation state, with the ultimate goal of occupying the entire Syrian territory. However, the primary target of this attack remains the areas under the Autonomous Administration to prevent the peaceful coexistence of the region’s diverse peoples, including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and other communities."

Read the rest of their statement on their website, here:

─────
The ongoing conflict in Aleppo may seem like a proxy war between Turkey-backed and Iran-backed groups, but the real danger lies in the systematic targeting of diverse cities like Aleppo. This war threatens its rich social fabric and pluralistic identity.
What’s even more alarming is the targeting of Kurdish IDP ["Internally Displaced People" ≈ internal refugees] camps and their regions, forcing further displacement. These actions deepen fractures in the region, endangering coexistence and the cultural mosaic of Syria’s most diverse city.

While Turkey has actual "former" members of ISIL/Daesh in its auxiliary forces, still wearing ISIL-patches over their Turkey-patches while in Turkey's "Syrian National Army", as well as while it is de facto allied with the rebranded regional al-Qaeda, as well as documented as having been by the truckloads arming and otherwise directly aiding ISIL, as well as is directly itself committing usually several documented war crimes daily including chemical warfare, as well as dictator Erdoğan's regime being directly linked to planned "politically motivated murder" (i.e. terrorism) within it's NATO-allies Denmark and Germany (https://sverigesradio.se/artikel/6975341 https://sverigesradio.se/artikel/6976259 https://anfenglishmobile.com/news/erdogan-s-ottoman-gang-osmanen-germania-banned-in-germany-28126 etc) as well as Edoğan's closest ally party fascist MHP having the global terrorism-group Grey Wolves and... do I need to go on?

Those are officially a part of Iraq's armed forces due to events during the fight against ISIL/Daesh, but is mostly militia units fighting for Iran's regime interests.
Iran's Prez Pez called Iraq's PM to personally deliver some crazy conspiracy theories, that the rebranded regional al-Qaeda, et al attacking al-Assad is "malicious conspiracies by Israel aimed at spreading chaos within Islamic countries".

One of Russia's bombing runs against Aleppo.
There is pretty much no way they had proper target verification, etc there, which would make it a war crime... like so many other times, by both al-Assad's and the "jihadi" side, which leaves the civilians violated by both.

Statement by Commander-in-chief of Syrian Democratic Forces Mazlum Abdi

“The situation in northwestern Syria has rapidly and unexpectedly escalated, with our forces facing intense attacks from multiple fronts. Following the collapse and withdrawal of the Syrian army and its allies, we intervened to establish a humanitarian corridor connecting our eastern regions with Aleppo and the Tel Rifaat area to protect our people from potential massacres.

However, attacks by armed groups supported by the Turkish occupation have disrupted this corridor.

Our forces have bravely defended our people in Aleppo, Tel Rifaat, and the Shahba region. We are coordinating with all relevant parties in Syria to ensure the safety of our people and facilitate their evacuation from Tel Rifaat and Shahba to our secure regions in northeastern Syria.

Meanwhile, our forces continue to resist to protect our people in the Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo.”

And article on the basics related to the recent uhmm, let's say... conflict escalation in Syria, headlining with the question arguably most important as background for most people (although also more, while entirely missing any mention of "Rojava", al-Suwayda or similar):

"Who are the Syrian rebels HTS [Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham] who have advanced in Aleppo?"
─────
The founder of HTS, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, was once a participant in the Iraqi insurgency against the US as a member of the group that eventually became Islamic State. In its former incarnation as Jabhat al-Nusra or the Al-Nusra front, HTS later declared allegiance to al-Qaida. It eventually publicly broke those ties in 2016 and rebranded as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, or Organization for the Liberation of the Levant.

If you see anyone describing the autonomous North and East Syria (NES) as nothing else but "the Kurds",
you should entirely disregard them as they are either feeding you disinformation or lacks most basic knowledge of situation.
A core idea of the whole autonomous area (most widely known by its initial name "Rojava") is exactly that there are many different peoples there and peaceful coexistence in diversity is a primary goal.
It renamed to NES specifically for diversity.

So called "Islamist" groups and opposing States many times sent (later admitted) infiltrators there to incite race war between the peoples because those sending thought in particular Arabs and Turkmen were "being oppressed", but then every time failed because the peoples targeted for incitement instead declared they stand with democratic confederalism, both in large demos and through Sheiks and other reps.

Especially if they try to whitewash rebranded regional al-Qaeda (HTS) and "jihadist" members of Turkey's auxiliaries (SNA) as "no, they're nice now",etc they're either fooled or take you for a fool. Seen enough heads cut off these recent days.
No, is same bullshittery as Taliban did and some dunces fell for because "not USA, so good" works same as "not Soviets, so good" oversimplification did before, with same outcomes.

The what council?
Background: Some locations within the autonomous North and East Syria (NES, widely still called by its initial name "Rojava" which was changed from because it is in Kurdish while NES is radically pro-diversity) have their own autonomous locals' military councils, such as here Deir ez-Zor and also Manbij Military Council which is often visible as the Arab-majority area is under about daily bombardments and other attacks by Turkey and its auxiliaries, while Deir ez-Zor has more commonly been the target of infiltrators (later when captured admitting to be) sent by Turkey, Iran and Assad-ruled part of Syria for the purpose of inciting race war but always failing because being pro-diversity is a pillar of the democratic confederalism of the autonomous NES.
The actual result of war,
always the same for tens of thousands of years,
now again the people who had fled to parts of Aleppo and now must flee again,
because a couple of people prioritize own personal power over the people.

Heyva Sor, the Kurdish Red Crescent (like the Red Cross), again calls for emergency aid as the organizations required to and existing for the primary or sole purpose of aiding in exactly these situations, at least in the past have chosen to specifically ignore their jobs in the North and East of Syria,
so it wasn't until captured ISIL/Daesh fighters after their territorial defeat were placed in al-Hol which until then was exclusively a refugee camp that ICRC, UNHCR and others became interested in helping regularly there, with the exception of MSF which also before that was the only one to send a doctor on a weekly visit for tens of thousands of refugees, in spite of years of please for help from those orgs actually required to do exactly that.

They also have more international donation method details listed on this https://heyvasor.com/en/donation/ page.

Seen several mobilization statements like this recent days, since the escalated aggression by Erdoğan's imperialist invasion "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded regional al-Qaeda began their vastly escalated aggression, from the Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women's Union in various places of the autonomous North and East Syria, but here's one which someone has subtitled:
"TEV-DEM [Democratic Society Movement] warns against an imminent genocide in North-East Syria"
https://anfenglish.com/rojava-syria/tev-dem-warns-against-an-imminent-genocide-in-north-east-syria-76646
That's the organization whose flag :flag_rojava: is unofficially used as flag for the autonomous North and East Syria (NES) which was named "Rojava" before it renamed to NES to reflect its diversity when the areas self-liberated through the revolution grew outside the initial Kurd-majority areas.
TEV-DEM is an umbrella organization for the several democratic confederalism parties in the NES.

This is the place in the autonomous North and East syria [a.k.a. "Rojava"] where the next big push of Turkey's imperialist invasion "jihadist" auxiliaries with the rebranded regional al-Qaeda is expected to occur.
When, is unknown but especially since the leader of the largest fascist party in Turkey (MHP, backing dictator Erdoğan) explicitly called for this to be next it seems even more so probable.
Don't forget what it means when thousands, tens or thousands, or more people are "displaced" because some people want more power to oppress more people.
In this case, it meant these people had to flee Aleppo now, to live like this.

Turkish-backed mercenaries have launched a large-scale kidnapping and enslavement campaign against civilians besieged in the Shahba’a region, north of Aleppo. Over 120 vehicles carrying hundreds of civilians, who were attempting to evacuate to areas in north and eastern Syria, were abducted and taken to an unknown destination near the Sheikh Najjar area. This action comes two days after these groups obstructed a previously agreed-upon civilian evacuation.
Furthermore, with the aim of enslavement, these groups have detained over fifteen thousand civilians and abducted a large number of them. The besieged civilians are enduring harsh conditions, facing starvation and water shortages.

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance rushing in to fill the vacuum after al-Assad's army (SAA) extremely irresponsibly just left Deir ez-Zor in what can only be assumed to be some kind of wish that the ISIL/Daesh sleeper-cells almost certainly still in the area would take the opportunity to do a major resurgence and grab it.
The Deir ez-Zor military airport, held by the democratic confederalism alliance Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF):
And now the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) own video of when the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, which is part of the SDF alliance, expanded to secure the people after al-Assad's regime forces had abandoned the place.

As in other places the locals have their own autonomous military self-defense council, similar to the maybe more widely known Manbij Military Council and more.

Yes, such "interference" is of course only allowed when YOU occupied Lebanon and such.
"Since the [November 27] escalation of [Syria] hostilities, at least 370,000 men, women and children, boys and girls, have been displaced, including 100,000 who left their homes more than once. Most of the displaced are women and children"

"Ground shelling by Turkish occupation on 11 villages in Manbij" in northern Syria, Arab-majority self-governed, self-liberated and self-defended part of the autonomous North and East Syria most widely still known as "Rojava".
https://hawarnews.com/en/ground-shelling-by-turkish-occupation-on-11-villages-in-manbij
They've been doing that near daily for many years, but now it is likely intended as preparation for SNA to conquer Manbij for Turkey to annex.
Burning Assad in Daraa, S Syria, out of the clutches of the regime and into... we'll see.
Regime pockets at Qamişlo and Hasakah including military airport and reportedly tanks and artillery were after negotiations abandoned to the SDF, with the regime's forces going towards Damascus.
And there was much rejoicing.
"Iran withdraws personnel from Syria amid escalating clashes"
https://npasyria.com/en/119280/
1: Assad's fucked.
2: Maybe with the decrease in splurging on imperialist ambitions the Iran-regime will have money to for livable wages for teachers, pensions, basic infrastructure and... no? Just more domestic oppression enforcement and imperialist ventures elsewhere? Oh, shucks.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) about 10 minutes ago (too long for character-count limit on this instance, so it'll have to be a picture. Will probably appear on their website as text soon though):

Ah, now they released it on the website of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)too:
"Update | The Turkish Occupation and its Mercenaries Escalating Their Attacks on Manbij"
https://sdf-press.com/en/2024/12/update-the-turkish-occupation-and-its-mercenaries-escalating-their-attacks-on-manbij/
Another update from the Syrian DEmocratic Forces (SDF), about 10 minutes ago:
─────
Update
The Al-Bab Military Council successfully repelled an attack by the Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries in the liberated eastern countryside of Al-Bab city.
At 12:00 PM on Saturday, the fighters of the Al-Bab Military Council thwarted an attempt attack by Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries in the villages of Jubb Makhzoum, Al-Hota, Jableh Al-Hamra, and Tal Taurine.
The attack was successfully thwarted, resulting in losses among the mercenaries, who were forced to retreat.

Just now from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF):

Update – The forces of Tabqa Military Council are countering the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Maskana city, located on the Aleppo-Tabqa Road, where fierce clashes are taking place in three axes.

The political party in the autonomous North and East Syria (NES, "Rojava") named Democratic Union Party (PYD), whose militias YPJ and YPG are possibly the most well known of everything related to "the Rojava Revolution", commented on the current situation in Syria and beyond through its presidential council member Salih Muslim.
https://anfenglish.com/features/salih-muslim-we-want-a-solution-not-enmity-76720
Keep in mind when reading this that PYD and NES overall has since the start been open to any political solution where they get to internally keep their autonomy to continue the democratic confederalism project with its feminism, pro-diversity, secularism, environmentalism and grassroots democracy, so that they are open to that now is no change.
They also said several times previously that the State of Syria could get to be State over them if it wanted to, because they did not want a State because States are a bad idea to begin with so they don't want any States anywhere, so this seems entirely in line with what is described as potential outcome here... depending on primarily if HTS is just pretending to be tolerant and all that for PR now, or if it's real in which case confederalism should not be even a slight bit of a problem to them.
Assad's army in al-Bukamal [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Kamal] left Syria and went over the border to Iraq to surrender to Iraq's army:
Not far now, but unless there's capitulation and it being accepted I'd imagine the last bit would be the mist difficult, filled with people who expect to not be able to surrender.

"HTS leader talks inclusivity, reports show ongoing abuses against minorities"
https://medyanews.net/hts-leader-talks-inclusivity-reports-show-ongoing-abuses-against-minorities/
Indeed, however we should probably hope for an unexpected excellent outcome as long as possible, while still prepared for disaster.

Why though?
Why would say for example HTS settle for being a vassal of Turkey once hey have ousted Assad? I think someone played this card too late for it to be relevant.
From December 1 to December 7.
What a week... and it ain't over yet.

Reportedly more video of when earlier today about 2000 of crimes against humanity dictator Assad's forces fled Syria to surrender to Iraq's army (https://todon.eu/@b9AcE/113612360514287514) due to the ongoing conquest by Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and rebranded regional al-Qaeda:
The rulers of the other countries in the region are worried that the populaces they oppress might see again that it is in fact possible to topple regimes, so they would very much prefer if Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and the rebranded regional al-Qaeda go back to following orders again like good like tools now please?

“We carry a new world on our hearts!”,

Let us hope that the end of the Bashar al-Assad dictatorship does have a better result than the end of the Muammar Gaddafi dictatorship in Libya did.
'The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria [a.k.a. "Rojava"], in view of the deteriorating security situation in Syria in general, called on the people, the Internal Security Forces, the Community Protection Unites(HPC) [≈home guard], and all institutions, parties, and organizations to be on maximum alert, and to protect their villages and cities against any danger.'
https://hawarnews.com/en/daa-declaring-state-of-emergency
The state of things at the latest in Syria:

"Israeli media reported on Sunday that the Israeli military has advanced beyond the security fence in the occupied Golan Heights into the U.N.-monitored buffer zone to enhance its defenses"
https://www.lbcgroup.tv/news/middleeastnews/822509/israeli-army-advances-beyond-golan-fence-into-buffer-zone-to-strengthe/en?src=rss&utm_source=TheWALL360&utm_medium=Rss-articles&utm_campaign=rss&utm_term=Rss

By "to enhance its defenses" they presumably mean "to ensure war continues, through offensive decreasing the security of everyone".

Update by Deir ez-Zour Military Council

‘All circulating reports about the withdrawal of Deir ez-Zor Military Council forces from the city of Deir ez-Zor are false. The forces continue to carry out their duties in safeguarding the region and its people.’
─────
This was 20 minutes ago already in Deir ez-Zor, the people's defense forces out protecting the people.
I didn't know at the time that there was a rumor that they had left, so I didn't know it had to be debunked.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), now:

In Syria, we are living through historic moments as we witness the fall of the authoritarian regime in Damascus. This change presents an opportunity to build a new Syria based on democracy and justice that guarantees the rights of all Syrians.

https://hawarnews.com/en/turkish-occupation-shelling-on-village-in-western-countryside-of-zarghan
The regimes who spent so much of their imperialist power projection at protecting their vassal al-Assad will probably have a lot of the people upset that after being forced to sacrifice so many and much to maintain that dictatorship, they got nothing but the losses, so it could in theory have positive effects in both primarily Russia and Iran too. Maybe.

Iran’s embassy in Damascus was stormed.
Fair.

Note: al-Arabiya should be considered oppressive "Saudi" regime's media and should be strongly avoided. This was an extremely rare exception, like second in a decade maybe.
Turkey and its auxiliaries artillery bombarded the villages Avn Dedet, Tokhar and Derç in the north of Manbij, autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava") with artillery fire.
The first decree issued by HTS after grabbing power over Syria was to not tamper with official institutions and to not fire "celebratory gunfire" into the air.
Now again.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2024/dec/07/syria-rebels-reach-damascus-bashar-al-assad?CMP=share_btn_url&page=with%3Ablock-6755588d8f0896ed0c2373a7#block-6755588d8f0896ed0c2373a7

Still, almost every video I see of their areas have people shooting into the air in "celebratory gunfire".
Every bullet fired up, must come down, somewhere.
It is very unlikely to hit someone, but with many thousands of bullets fired, the probability increases because that is how probability works.
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation: do NOT do this.
Shout with joy, or at least fire into soft ground or something.
The Syrian Revolution flag (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_Syrian_revolution.svg) has now been hoisted by the embassy of Syria in Stockholm, reports TT.

Now they'll all want to join in, as if they always had, eh?
Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries are currently fiercely attacking Arab-majority self-governed Manbij of the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava") on all fronts.
YPG Press Office, now:
─────
Update: Intense clashes are taking place between the Manbij Military Council forces and Turkish occupation mercenaries at the southern and western entrances to the city of Manbij.

Tiny first article on that "Turkish occupation launches violent attacks against Manbij Canton [...] from 3 directions"

The looting of the Central Bank of Syria in Damascus.
I... don't know their paper is gonna be worth much soon? Probably worth less than blank paper?
Many civilians reportedly injured by Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries continuing attack against Arab-majority self-governed Manbij in the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava").
I saw examples of multiple severely injured elderly people. I won't forward that.
How many cars did one Assad need, while the people suffered?
You count, I don't have the time...

An airstrike at Deir ez-Zor, eastern part of autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava").
No further details yet.
Some report that the attack at Deir ez-Zor was by Israel,
which has also reportedly launched several attacks in the south of Syria too, including Daraa, Suwayda and more.
YPG Press Office, update too long for character limit on this instance, so it'll have to be a picture:

"Manbij Autonomous Administration: Our forces show heroic resistance in repelling attacks"
https://hawarnews.com/en/manbij-autonomous-administration-our-forces-show-heroic-resistance-in-repelling-attacks

"Fierce clashes erupt as Turkish-backed SNA factions attack Syria’s Manbij"
https://npasyria.com/en/119396/
Instead of celebrating freedom, Turkey's "SNA" decided to take freedom from Syrians who had it for a decade.
Clash points at Manbij:

"Turkey says new Syrian administration must be inclusive" https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/turkey-says-new-syrian-administration-must-be-inclusive-2024-12-08/ as long as it doesn't include the Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Circassians, Turkmens, Armenians and Assyrians in the north and east, or probably anywhere else, because those must apparently be eradicated.
GTFO, genocidal invader.
Both Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Chancellor Olaf Scholz made very fine statements about demanding inclusivity in Syria, how "all minorities must enjoy protection now", etc,
for which I believe they will do absolutely nothing at all now that Turkey and its auxiliary "jihadists" are attacking the pro-diversity secular Women's Revolution.

More likely is that they will continue arming the genocidal imperialist war of aggression Erdoğan-regime, because that's important for NATO to get to keep its air base.
