He desperately braked and swerved to tbrow it off. He managed to get rid of it before it blew, knowing he had no time to bail out of the car and would be wearing the windshield if it went off there. Right after that, the "jump outs" and all the rest of the cops disappeared from the block, we had no further trouble that night. We won, they lost.
