I think when I had an iPhone around 2020, I was hacked in a similar way, too. My current assumptions point towards PayPal, Tesla, and Russia. But for obvious reasons (i.e., my survival), I don't investigate further. After a brief period of having access to some of my accounts from back then, most importantly erik.bernoth@gmail.com, I currently have to work with fallback accounts. This brief period ended with me being homeless and jobless on the street again.
