On the #blackblogs situation, some alternatives:
- Hey, noblogs seems to have registrations open now! I thought they were closed?
- network23.org also offers free anonymous wordpress for activism. ToS forbid doxing and not much else. I'm wary of the wording on "nationalism"; it's a coin toss if supporting resistance against invading colonisers counts as "nationalism" (for too many anarchists Gaza/Israel or Ukraine/Russia are "both sides are wrong because I don't support nations/nationalists".)
- There are paid hosts taking crypto in Switzerland and the like, but then of course the ToS forbids actual politics. One could hope that it's there as a legal shield and they probably won't take your site down when you say "shoot nazis" or "we should sabotage coal mines" because of incitation to terrorism, but you'd be liable to be taken down at any point, plus you lose money every month that could go into more tangible forms of struggle.
With the first 2 also being wordpress I could easily export/import my blog, assuming blackblogs comes back long enough for the first part.

I think we are just about finished with the clearnet with the growing amount of censorship and control on it.

Inhaltswarnung: tech, web hosting for activism
It is difficult to reach people without the Internet nowadays, but the state of the Internet for activism is abysmal. In most of the North, any revolutionary position can now be framed as terrorism--in many cases, following the lead of the USA land of free speech, without due process. And even if you can find a stable, supportive host, any web search will only ever return the Platforms, anything not in a walled garden is now deep web. Most orgs around me have given up and risk doing it on Substack or (of all places) Instagram. Spicier things can still go onto indymedia or the library, but these are more like shared communiqués/archives, not places where your group has a presence, a territory.
There's also the fact that all URLs break whenever something like blackblogs gets taken down. The idea of a political *DNS* host seems even less likely to find, useful though it would be.
A hot girl thing to do would be to host solarweb-style, on a low-power device you own that you take steps to a) anonymise the uplink via some Tor or similar connection, and b) rig to self-destruct any data in case of cop (are there good ways to do this? shadow encrypted partition and if you boot into the decoy one, it safe-deletes the hidden one? but if I was tasked with doing a search like cops do, I would try to investigate the devices on the spot and still plugged.)

Put the server in a windowless room, and between the UPS (uninterruptable power supply) and the server including a shorting switch under a rug behind the door. Arrange this in boobytrap mode so it shorts the UPS causing it to shut down, kills the lights, fires a photoflash, and maybe plays a recording of an explosion. By the time the cops can change their undies, all data in RAM has decayed and there's no way in for them.
