I've always known that Australians eat more beetroot than any other country.

But when looking for corroboration after telling this to my son, I can't find any data or claims.

The only thing I know in relation to that is the "Aussie" hamburger has beetroot on it, unlike everyone else's.

Exactly. Christmas salads are not the same without beetroot. I don't know who started it, but all my aware life, betroot has been part of summer. @LovesTha
