If a reply is unread, and the thread is contracted, there is no visual indication of where the unread is.

Anyone got a tip?

I just press "n" to go to the first unread message.

turn off the threaded view: "Toggle message threads", or "Message list display options --> sort by --> unthreaded".

Perhaps you have more Thunderbird advice for me 😅

I don't see my replies to messages. Searching through Sent box, annoying. I tried the "Thunderbird Conversations" plugin, but it makes a lot of UI changes, when all I want is to see my replies threaded like other replies.

I'd like to know that too… I help myself with right-click → open message in conversation. I guess the real fix would be to tell thunderbird to put your sent messages in your inbox (or wherever the message you're replying to is).

Yeah so this is tricky but what you *might* want is to copy your answer in the same folder, which is something controlled (IIRC) in the composition settings.
