Biden Pardons Thousands Convicted of Marijuana Possession Under Federal Law

President Biden’s pardon will clear everyone who was convicted of simple possession from 1992 to 2021 and thousands more in the District of Columbia.
His administration will also review whether marijuana should remain a Class 1 drug, but he stopped short of calling for its complete decriminalization.
