Biking makes it harder for cops to get close. When possible keep them a block away in traffic. They know a lot of.cyclists will never stop for them and bikes don't have license plates. Therefore, many are reluctant to commit to the chase in the first place. That goes double for cops on foot, who tend to be treated wirh laughter if they try to pull over bikers.
