I know, I applied and that's where I'm looking at (and trying to fix) the mess :)

Went through most of the app strings to tame it... don't have an iPhone handy so can't do a few iOS-specific ones, but maybe my partner will help me with that later. I'll also take a look at the web, I haven't looked at that at all yet.

How does it work now, are new translations pulled in automatically during release? Is there anything else for me to do in this regard?

Hmm, transifex, I have deleted my account there: "The company was formerly located in Greece but is now headquartered in Silicon Valley."

Weblate (or even crowdin) would be a better choice.
