#HolocaustRemembranceDay is a somber occasion, and more still given that my country elected a fascist and we're now watching powerful stakeholders break Timothy Snyder's number one rule and obey in advance.
And yet...I followed #Syria and argued for the world to help because of the lessons I learned from the Holocaust. The world, in large part, did not answer--but the Syrians survived, and they sent Assad running.
The Allies aren't coming to save us this time, but victory is still possible.
