So...people, SCOTUS also ruled in the 1940s that Japanese American internment was just fine, in 2005 that the Doctrine of Discovery was a valid legal basis for screwing Native Nations out of land, and in 2013 that Black Southerners were on their own--again. Do not be disappointed. Start making plans, starting with saving those people in El Salvador.

And do not forget any names.

SCOTUS has been awful for almost the entirety of US history. People think of the Warren Court as if it was the norm, but it was very much the exception.

(And Warren himself was the architect of Japanese internment, so as laudable a Chief Justice as he was, he did some awful things before he got there.)
I have neither faith in this SCOTUS nor in the US people.

Since Nixon PoC have been doomed to lengthy prison sentence for minor drug abuse disproportionately. This is egregious since slavery as punishment is still in the constitution. There are black slaves in the Us right now for no good reason and honestly there isn't a single reason by today's basic human rights definitions.
I heard it several times now: "There might be someone who deserves life in a gulag among them."

Nobody ever deserve life in a gulag like CECOT!!!

You are no better than the fascists who turned them into tormented ghosts in the first place, if you think there are people who "deserve" this level of degrading and tormenting.

("you" as in any person who)
