I was very disappointed that my amuseables grumpy cloud wouldn't sit on the bookshelf without falling off. I'm hoping the coffee cup will be more amenable 😂

A coffee cup should definitely sit on a shelf. tbf to them clouds aren't big shelf sitters, but cups...
