Thanks to all the help searching for tardigrades earlier. A variety were found, but not really suitable when it came to trying to, erm, festive it up, so I've gone back to the low res one I started at, and combined it with a super-odd old Christmas card.

This one is your fault @fkamiah17 😆

Now let's move on and never talk of this again.

#xmasScribbles #xmasHatting
An old illustrated Christmas card featuring two young children in a room with stripey patterned wallpaper and carpet, carrying a platter with a grumpy snowman's head on it. There is a cleaver in its head (presumably why it's so grumpy). There is an archway behind them with a view to a woman working in a kitchen. Below the image is the line "All good wishes for Christmas". Genuinely one of the weirdest of all the weird cards I've seen. It now also features a tardigrade, from a scanning electron micrograph by Bob Goldstein and Vicky Madden, sourced from Wikimedia Commons. It looks like it is standing up on hind legs, leaning back and laughing. It is wearing a Santa Hat.
I nearly gave up, then I caught that massacred snowman out the corner of my eye and...
there is A LOT going on in this picture! Nothing says Christmas like a decapitated snowman and a tardigrade in a Santa hat.
