I tile tabs all the when I need to update Wikipedia sport scores. Wikipedia on one side, the official scoreboard on the other.

I'd argue that tiling multiple tabs is pro mode. Expert mode is designing pages and tools to fit in tiling mode, which I've done before! It's great to monitor several things at once.

i would be using it more if it wasn't for the fact that I am running a tilling window manager (awesome wm) so I usually just open it in a new window

I really like tha the feature exists though, and I do use it sometimes, it's just that the keybindings for the wm is muscle memory, whe Vivaldi ones are not

Tab tiling is the reason I switched to Vivaldi. Most of the things I need to frequently view in tiles have moved to the sidebar now.
