It occurred to me today that Louise Haigh's (forced) resignation doesn't sit that well (here I'm using classic British understatement) with the professed interest in rehabilitation & employment that seemed to be behind the appointment of James Timpson, Minister of State for Prisons, Parole and Probation....
If we take rehabilitation seriously, as Timpson does then surely a spent (minor) conviction should not have led to a required resignation.
Or maybe it wasn't that?
