Is the dispute about Physician Associates over their accuracy of diagnosis, their presentation to patients as 'doctors' or a turf war by the BMA seeing to protect doctors' livelihoods; or of course, all three.
Perhaps the key thing about this 'toxic staffing row' as the BBC has it, is its actually a manifestation of a health service riven by stress & burnout, where trust between managers & clinicians is itself in is crisis....
