UK: Cybertruck driver pulled over, vehicle seized over safety concerns: 'An over-6,000-pound piece of steel' 3/28/25

"...Though the Cybertruck recently got a high safety standard rating in the United States, the U.K. has more stringent safety standards for cars, and the Cybertruck falls short on many of these.

The first area where it fails is its size. With a massive weight of 6,898 pounds (or nearly 3 tons) and a width of 7.2 feet, the vehicle is too heavy and wide to drive safely on British roadways.... "

Same with the Netherlands and presumably the rest of Europe. A standard Cybertruck requires a special truck license to drive, due to weight. Also presumably with the angled surfaces: they're too dangerous for pedestrians, cyclists, etc.

Modern cars look similar for a reason 🤷‍♀️
The aerodynamics of all those angles also are draggy. Airflow separates on going over a sharp corner, promoting.turbulance and drag.
