You know what the best #ChristmasMovie is?

It's #RaymondBriggs' made for TV animation Father Christmas

It shows Father Christmas on his days off, going on holiday and eating at restaurants. And I love those little details of ordinary life.

But not only that, because it's British and not American, the problem Father Christmas has is being recognised too often. The question of his existence does not come into it because that is a ridiculous premise for a Santa movie.
But this is a bug in US Christmas movies. With the US being the land of the American Dream, the place where anything can happen and you can do anything ...

It seems strange that they have so much trouble believing in Santa.

But the point is: Every movie that questions the existence of Santa is instantly a poor Christmas movie.
I just watched Father Christmas on Channel Four catch up!
