When a #Reddit thread appears in a search engine, it won't open for me. Not sure why, and I'm not really bothered by it.

But why Reddit no work?

[edit] I've found the answer, it's a stupid addon on my browser sending me to a defunct frontend.

What does your browser say when it fails to load the page? Can you take a screenshot? I use Reddit a lot so I might be able to help.

Okay, so from my googling, it appears that you're using a third-party client for accessing Reddit which was discontinued a year and a half ago. I get the impression that you weren't aware you were doing this, so I'm not sure how to advise you to stop.

Ah! I know what it is. I've got an addon that redirects you to front ends for certain websites. For youtube it takes you to Invidious.

It must also be redirecting reddit links too.

Now I know I can turn it off.

Thanks for your help. I wouldn't have figured it out because I wouldn't have searched for problems with some front end I didn't know I was using.
