So much news is really niche accounts of something you might find interesting, emotive or engaging but isn't really all that important

Some of it is celebrity BS too

If we graded news, and class some as not-news, as something else, it would force our news outlets to concentrate more on the important things or else risk being demoted from being a 'news' outlet.

The S*n, for example, would not make the grade
