Yeah #Medium is a load of bollocks, isn't it?

And so's #Substack really.

People should just have their own blog and publish on that.

People used to have a page of recommended bloggers you could follow.

Now it's all done via corporate #SocialMedia

But there's nothing these platforms do that wasn't being done already. It just feels better with it all being in one place or something, or with algorithms telling you what to do all the time

People like being told what to do

I think that's it
Yeah, I think people just want to be told what to do.

That's why they're always looking for the next Twitter or a social media site that is viable and will become big.

They don't want to do the work themselves and they don't want to have to make a decision of what type of social media they want.

They don't want the burden of having to think about things and make decisions.

That's what corporate social media sites offer.
The all in one place aspect is like a supermarket. The one stop shop for social.
Yes, and it only feels like it's convenient. But really, it's not all that convenient at all.

You might get a shopping trolley to carry stuff, but you still do all the work yourself and you get less choice.
