Everyone needs to stop "trying to understand" psychopaths and ceding a damn thing. Republicans have been breaking all norms and wiping their butts with the Constitution for years.
Everyone needs to write or call their Senators and tell them all nominees need to adhere to normal on-boarding and confirmation procedures.
Trump needs to sign the ethics contract.
All nominees need to have the fbi background checks.

That's what happened with Corbyn and the anti-semitism smears. Instead of calling it out for what it was, Corbyn was continually apologising and since it was all a fabrication (that the Labour party had an antisemitism problem) it never got better, no matter how much he apologised for it.
