Was talking w/someone yesterday about how there’s an opportunity to build differently when re-building, to use more fire resistant materials & techniques (ex: roof designs less prone to catching embers can be used).
Availability, at scale, of materials like insulated composite concrete forms (ICCFs) and foam concrete could maybe reduce individual building costs. Normally a single structure using them would bear costs alone; now some economies of scale are maybe possible.
