Just got our passport renewals submitted at the post office! All the passport appointments are booked for the next few weeks so the poor clerk is swamped.
She did such a great job attempting to correctly name and gender the kiddo and me. It's tough with strangers who are presenting you with paperwork showing your old name, new name, new gender markers, etc. She didn't get it 100% right, but the effort was appreciated.

I just got my new passport and it has the correct name and gender marker on it! Nobody can take that away from me for at least 10 years.
(I applied for my renewal on Nov 22 and received it today, Dec 2, with expedited service. You still have time to get yours before the thing in January!)
