QQ mastodon friends: my adult(ish) kids are cool and retro - and listen to vinyl. Fair enough. I want to get some for birthdays coming up. But where do I buy from in the Uk? Loads of places online but hard to judge anything about them. Would welcome pointers. Thanks.
if you're buying online, Norman Records are usually very good. Stuff gets well packed (and if you ask them to they will open shrink wrap and send the record in the inner to reduce the chances of the outer sleeve getting knifed by the edge of the record in transit).

you're very welcome 🙂
Oxfam have a lot. No idea about mail order though.
@waxandbeans as they're one of few record shops on here and can answer any questions.
we ship out daily, Jimmy. If we can assist, just holla x
excellent! And on #Mastodon too. Thank you. I will defo be in touch
@Beedazzled I buy a lot of vinyl, and have bought, and buy from, Drift, Juno, Norman Records, Rough Trade, Resident, Vinilo, Beartree, Bleep, Banquet, Boomkat, Assai, Monorail. Most of these will sell vouchers, if that makes it easier.
larger HMV stores generally have some vinyl. Small indie record shops - check where to look at https://www.recordstoreday.co.uk/
the very lovely @LogoFiasco have a good selection of psych, prog, and other assorted weirdnesses.
