I recced my raptor monitoring area today which involved a very nice bimble on local but new-to-me paths. Plenty of buzzards and kites, though I need to work on corvid identification as I’m meant to be looking for ravens too.

Also, lots of sheep…and lambs. Yesterday’s fresh lambs were too far away to photograph today, but I met a very friendly ewe and lambs. She came running for a nose boop (alternatively was hoping for a biscuit).

#SheepOfMastodon
Photo of a white sheep reaching her nose over a wooden rail fence and up towards the camera. Behind and to the left are two white lambs watching on with curiosity. One is partially hidden by the ewe’s ear but it is doing a little blep which is cute. Beyond in the field, on the right, is a bright pink food tub.
