RF and DPRK do have a joint defense pact. I do not understand why anyone would be surprised if NK provides support to the operation.

The posting implies NK trainers trained the Russian military in it's use, but doesn't say whether the trainers are currently in Russia, which does have a large Korean population, so some of them are bound to be in military service, and I'm expecting those korean ethnic russians to be called "North Korean Troops".🤣
