Maud Menten, born March 20, 1879 in Port Lambton, ON, Canada, was one of the first women in Canada to graduate from medical school. Together with the German biochemist Leonor Michaelis, and based on earlier work by Victor Henri, Maud Menten developed a theory of enzyme kinetics that is still known today as Henri-Michaelis-Menten kinetics
