In return, protesters agreed to leave the area near government buildings.

On November 12, protests broke out in unrecognized Abkhazia. The reason was an investment agreement with Russia, signed in late October. By this agreement, large Russian businesses would receive unprecedented benefits, as well as ownership of land and property.
