In this case, though all of that is happening, she has a point. The Suppurating COALition signed us up for AUKUS (aka USUKAus), an ungetoutable deal, upon which the present govt has had to put a good face.
However, Nuclear Medicine cannot be equated with Nuclear Reactors.
It is my personal opinion that neither SMRs, nor Nuclear-powered subs, will eventuate. It's all yellowpie in the sky.
