Diane Abbott pisses me off, not because she's wrong, but because she insists on staying inside the tent.
The tribalism is strong in this one.

If I'd been treated as badly as Diane Abbott has been by Labour, I'd have resigned years go.
Yet she was so close to Corbyn, you'd think she'd have the nouse to just cut her losses and stop being a hypocrite.
I think she has said that she stays because it makes her more relevant. She gets invited to gigs like this precisely because she is a member and controversial - relative to her party. If she were an independent?

She also feels it would let down the folks who have worked pretty hard to stop Starmer kicking her out.

She has indeed been treated absolutely despicably.

She's about the only member I can forgive for still being a member. Otherwise it is unforgivable.

Nope. She proved her point by winning the argument. If she or the people who struggled to help her think remaining in a pro-genocide, anti-worker de facto Tory government just to stay "relevant" is acceptable, then they can all fuck off.
