I work for an EV charger manufacturer in the UK and we are looking to unionise. Not having much luck finding a union with experience within our company industry that doesn’t have awful reviews. Recommendations welcome! #union #unionise
I don't have any concrete suggestions but I'm pretty sure @drandrewv2 might be able to help with some suggestions. In Denmark you would come under Dansk Metal or perhaps IDA - if all else fails maybe you could ask them for pointers to UK contacts?

Thank you 👍
No, up until last year we were still considered a start up company and there has never been any union involvement. We've not needed it until now, with redundancies and a push for office working since our CEO was voted out.
That's a very good point, maybe we should be looking for something in the right ball park that we can help to appeal to others in the EV industry.
Prospect seems to be the popular choice among my colleagues, but I was a bit concerned about their reviews - however it is true, as someone had already pointed out, bad reviews are only left by people who lose their case. Thank you, this is really helpful to hear from someone who has been with them :)
My mom Gladys would be pleased to read about this. She was in her early 20s at the outbreak of WW2 working for screw makers Nettlefolds in Brum. She was part of the drive to get recognition for T&G & became shop steward. There was already the "in house" union but it was run by old blokes who wouldn't/couldn't sort out the issues the young women doing wartime work faced.
Whatever your choice of trade union, Gladys's ghost walks with you :)
