Unidentified Men Drag Woman from Coeur d’Alene Town Hall as Sheriff Films

A shocking incident unfolded at a Coeur d’Alene town hall Saturday, as unidentified men forcibly removed a woman from the event—and no one seems to know who they were.

📍 What Happened?
During a legislative town hall at Coeur d’Alene High School, Post Falls resident Teresa Borrenpohl was grabbed and dragged out by plainclothes men after heckling lawmakers. Sheriff Bob Norris, who was present, attempted to pull her from her seat before stepping back and signaling to the unidentified men, who took over. As Borrenpohl repeatedly asked who they were, she received no response.

🎥 Captured on Video
Our footage shows Sheriff Norris recording the incident on his phone as the men forcibly removed Borrenpohl. She can be heard shouting, “This man is assaulting me,” while Norris commands, “You, out, now.”

🚨 Who Were These Men?
That remains a mystery. Event organizers, including Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Chair Brent Regan, claim they don’t know who arranged security or which company was used. Even Sheriff Norris denies involvement, despite being present and appearing to direct security toward Borrenpohl.

📢 Why It Matters
🔹 Who authorized these unidentified men to detain a citizen?
🔹 Why did the sheriff film instead of intervening or ensuring proper procedures were followed?
🔹 Why is there no transparency about the security team’s identity?

With no clear accountability, this raises serious concerns about due process and the use of force at public meetings.

📌 Watch the video and decide for yourself. Who were these men, and who gave them the power to remove a citizen from a public forum?

@maggiejk Absolutely shocking that no one came to her aid. In the long run [and hopefully the shorter one also] this should be bad for the republican politicians at a local level - but I fear the aim is to intimidate people and given them the idea there’s an army of brown shirts, ready to do the politicians bidding, and the law doesn’t matter. If they do this to a white woman, you can only imagine how badly any person of colour will be treated.
I never wanna hear any of these motherfuckers say “not all men” around me ever again. Did anyone help her? The only voices I even heard objecting to this kidnapping are other women.

It is all men until they prove otherwise. This is horrifying.

Legally these men are presumed NOT to be cops or security and may be resisted using as much force as is deemed necessary. Same rules as any other assault unless they identify themselves as cops, security, or agents of the event or venue. Otherwise they are like person A trying to trespass person B from person C's property: no jurisdiction.

I would probably have stood up and karate kicked their knees out. Last time I used that move my attacker was thrown six feet back, landed on a trash can, and stayed down until someone helped him up.

I would not want to fire mace indoors, unknown if these assholes would know that and ignore a brandished can of mace. A stun gun might be the ideal weapon for this, as it is a contact weapon that does not endanger bystanders.
