Venezuela’s military could desert Maduro after Syrian ally’s fall, opposition leader says

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro risks losing the support of his military chiefs as he prepares for a third term on the back of a bogus election, opposition leader María Corina Machado has said, calling his position “untenable”.
