A detailed investigation of the people and domestic animals that the B.C. teen with avian flu had contact with has not revealed a clear source of exposure. 34 health care workers, 16 close contacts & 25 animals, including birds, rodents, dogs, cats, and reptiles, all tested negative for the virus. The public health investigation is closed for now. The teen remains in critical condition, but has shown some signs of improvement, recently.
