BREAKING: FIRST U.S. HUMAN BIRD FLU DEATH 🦅
An elderly patient who was hospitalized in Dec. with respiratory difficulties in critical condition from bird flu has died. The patient reportedly had underlying medical conditions & contracted H5N1 after exposure to a backyard flock and wild birds.
PH reports that their investigation has identified no additional cases and they see no evidence of human-to-human transmission.
