As scientific research gets slashed in America, the NIH abruptly terminated funding for 45 studies designed to learn how to better treat long COVID.

All grants for pathobiology studies that RECOVER funded in 2022-‘23 were canceled. Per researcher Fitzgerald, the studies were nearly complete— data only needed to be analyzed & published.
