TIL that largest flying creature on earth was an Azhdarchid Pterodactyl named Arambourgiania. It's wings were 12 to 13 meters.

The only known fossil of Arambourgiania was found by chance near the side of a railway in the 1940s. It represents one of the first discoveries of an azhdarchid, and one of the largest of all known pterosaurs.www.pteros.com
