a question please for any POTS or dysautonomia folk ...
does anyone have a non-pharmaceutical solution for sleep, specifically staying asleep? i can't sleep more than 2.5–3 hours in a go before i wake up (and have to pee). i'm not sure whether it's actually my bladder waking me up or whether i wake up for another reason and then have to pee, but ugh. then i'm awake for ages ... i'm just so tired.
i take full-spectrum, whole-plant cbd oil before bed, and that helps me to fall asleep initially, but i just can't stay there.
i have noticed that my heart rate rises consistently from about 15 mins after i fall asleep till i wake up, so it might be that ... i just don't know what to do really.
i'm assuming it's a POTS or dysautonomia thing, but i also have hEDS, autoimmune disease, mitral valve prolapse, MCAS, etc., etc., and this is all worse before my period (and i have endo). but it happens during the rest of the month too.
(and no, it's not biphasic sleep. it's disrupted and i'm exhausted and during those rare periods when i've been less ill, it doesn't happen to quite this extent.)
if anyone has experienced similar / has any ideas, i'd be very grateful to hear them.
thank you, and i hope you've all slept well!

Inhaltswarnung: ph, a little long, question please
and thank you. i do have a weighted blanket. two in fact, because the first one wasn't heavy enough. i have that + duvet + wool blankets, and a bed warmer 😂
as for liquid intake, i'm pretty careful; it's hours from my last drink till bedtime. and on the occasions where i've had to have a drink closer to sleep, it doesn't make any difference, meh. i'm just a bit weird 🙄
how goes your ... thursday?
