Stop saying “I’m autistic” as a way of excusing when you abuse other disabled people just because you don’t actually care.

@actuallyautistic #ActuallyAutistic
@actuallyautistic This is rather obvious is it not? 🤔 I don't think many of us following this hashtag do that.
@actuallyautistic Please, share evidence of that statement. Real evidence, not anekdotes.
@actuallyautistic surely anecdotes are perfectly acceptable evidence for someone responding to their own experiences and observations? This isn't a peer reviewed journal, after all.
@actuallyautistic No but you could evidence this if the replies exist. The claim was that it's happening here.
@actuallyautistic but why would someone need to? Can't we make a simple observation about behaviour without bringing receipts?
Seems not, eh? (I saw a certain amount of 'shoving' on the dead bird, and even here, to begin with). Gatekeeping is not acceptable. Pushing your own agenda, as though some autists are more autistic than others, is silly. We don't need examples. We need to be considerate. @heydon @gevoel @theautisticcoach @marionline @actuallyautistic
